How much do you charge?
For midweek and last minute requests, my rate is $600. For all weekend weddings, my rate is $700. This fee includes everything that will make your day unforgettable: your completely personalized ceremony, unlimited meetings prior to the ceremony, and the filing of your marriage license. *For weddings outside of South Orange County, the cost will be slightly more to cover travel time and expenses (travel fee flexible based on distance).
Do you do weddings outside of Orange County?
Yes, I do weddings in nearby counties as well. For weddings in San Diego, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties, a travel fee of $100-$150 will be applied (flexible based on distance).
What is premarital counseling and do you require it?
Premarital counseling is a great way to get to know the person you are marrying on a deeper level. Through in-depth questions and exercises, you will be able to identify the most important ingredients of building a healthy marriage, before you both say, "I do." I do not require premarital counseling, but HIGHLY recommend it. I do not offer premarital counseling at this time, but I am more than happy to refer you to a number of excellent counselors in the area.
How long is a typical ceremony?
Typically my ceremonies last 15-25 minutes from start to finish. The 20 minute sweet-spot, accomplishes a ceremony long enough to be personalized and meaningful, but short enough to keep everyone engaged and having fun throughout.
Do you do rehearsals?
If you have a wedding coordinator, I usually do not need to be at the rehearsal. However, some couples choose to have the officiant help run the rehearsal for added peace of mind and clarity with the flow of events. If I have availability, I am happy to be present at or help run the rehearsal, for an additional $200.
Do you file our marriage license?
Yes, I take care of filing your marriage license after the wedding at no additional charge.
Are you a licensed minister, and do you work at a church?
Yes, I am licensed in the State of California, and a minister at The Shoreline Church in San Clemente, CA.
Are there marriage resources you recommend?
Yes, plenty! Three of my favorite books on love and marriage at the moment are John Mark Comer's Loveology, Francis and Lisa Chan's, You and Me Forever, and Dr. Emerson Eggerichs', Love and Respect. You can also check out my Pinterest page to see some very helpful wedding and marriage resources!
